Behavioural-science-driven leadership

Executive training that rewires how leaders actually decide

"Most leadership programs teach frameworks people forget in a week. We rebuild the cognitive habits underneath." — Founding methodology, ExecSkill Compass

Four dimensions we diagnose before training starts

Every engagement opens with a structured diagnostic. We do not sell generic workshops. Instead, we map each leader's decision architecture across four dimensions, then build a programme around the gaps that matter most to the organisation's strategic context.

Cognitive bias profile

We measure susceptibility to anchoring, confirmation bias, and sunk-cost traps using scenario-based instruments adapted from Kahneman and Tversky's original research. Leaders receive a personal bias map before the first session begins.

Strategic tempo

Some leaders deliberate too long; others decide too fast. We quantify each participant's decision speed relative to information quality thresholds, helping them calibrate urgency without sacrificing accuracy in high-stakes environments.

Influence topology

Through 360-degree network mapping we reveal how information actually flows around the leader — who they listen to, who they inadvertently silence, and where blind spots in their advisory ecosystem create risk for the whole organisation.

Adaptive resilience

We assess how leaders respond when their mental models break — when market data contradicts strategy, when a trusted deputy fails, or when regulatory shifts invalidate a two-year plan. Resilient adaptation is trainable; we measure the starting point precisely.

Five phases, twelve weeks, lasting change

We do not run two-day retreats and call it transformation. Our methodology unfolds over a full quarter, embedding new habits into daily leadership practice through deliberate repetition and real-time coaching.

01

Baseline diagnostic

Weeks one and two. We administer proprietary assessments, interview direct reports, and review decision logs from the past six months. The output is a confidential leadership profile shared only with the participant and their coach.

02

Cognitive reframing

Weeks three through five. Intensive one-on-one sessions introduce counter-bias techniques drawn from clinical psychology and behavioural economics. Leaders practise structured dissent, pre-mortem analysis, and probabilistic thinking in simulated board scenarios.

03

Live application

Weeks six through eight. Participants apply new frameworks to real business decisions happening inside their organisations. A coach shadows key meetings, offering private debriefs within 24 hours.

04

Peer calibration

Weeks nine and ten. Small cohort sessions — never more than six executives — allow leaders to pressure-test decisions with peers from non-competing industries. Confidentiality agreements ensure candour.

05

Habit lock-in

Weeks eleven and twelve. We re-administer the diagnostic, measure delta, and install micro-routines — three-minute daily practices — that sustain gains without ongoing coaching dependency. A six-month check-in is included at no extra cost.

What prospective participants ask us

Is this only for C-suite executives?

No. We work with anyone in a role where decisions carry material consequences — VPs, general managers, division heads, and founders. The common thread is accountability for outcomes, not title.

How large are the cohorts?

Peer calibration sessions are capped at six participants. One-on-one coaching is exactly that — one leader, one coach. We deliberately avoid the conference-style format that dilutes attention and discourages vulnerability.

Can the programme be delivered remotely?

Yes. Roughly 60 percent of our engagements since 2021 have been hybrid — diagnostic and peer sessions in person, coaching sessions via secure video. We do require at least two in-person days for the baseline phase.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on scope — individual versus team, twelve-week versus extended engagement, and whether we embed a coach on-site. We share a detailed proposal after the initial diagnostic conversation, never before. Expect investment comparable to a top-tier executive MBA module.

How is this different from executive coaching?

Traditional coaching is largely conversational and relies on the coach's intuition. Our method is measurement-first: we quantify cognitive patterns before and after intervention, use structured protocols rather than open-ended dialogue, and benchmark results against our proprietary dataset of over four hundred leaders.

Do you work in French?

Absolutely. Our team is fully bilingual and all diagnostic instruments are validated in both English and French. Headquartered in Québec City, we are deeply rooted in the province's business culture and regulatory environment.
